9-28-2011

Decided to get a regular oly bar DL baseline today. Its been over a year since the last time I pulled so it was pretty wimpy. My back is by far still the limiting factor.

  1. I've started lifting with my heels together (froggy)and am finding it a lot easier to get to the bar and into position. I'd never tried it before but I've been working with Adam for a few weeks now and have been trying quite a few new ideas which seem to be paying off so far.

    Hope your back comes around for you bud.

  2. Jason, I ruptured my L5/S1 Disc almost 15years ago. The fragments of the disc still give me sciatica from time to time and it is a fairly unstable joint after that. Its about as good as its ever going to be right now. I can get the back muscles stronger to hold everything together when I say DL but it feels like its gonna bust loose in a bad way when I pull heavy. Most I've Deadlifted since the injury is 410 and that took a very long time to work up to. At this point I'm just happy to not be in pain every day.
